Paper will always be my first love, and stock of this caliber only comes from one place: Crane & Co. Simply holding it is an experience. The weight and texture are as much a part of the message as any design or text printed on it. That said, the minimal elegance of the calligraphy is an art unto itself. After the digital setup, I carefully guided this invitation suite through three different print houses, each offering a distinct specialty, in order to achieve the final results.

This baby shower invite was one of my first-ever commissioned works. It still makes me smile, and it’s been a consistent reminder over the years of where I started as a professional artist. It’s nice when you think about it, we all have beginnings that deserve appreciation.
